Restaurant

After a nice swim at the beach right in front of the hotel, you can have lunch choosing from a menu of Greek Traditional Kitchen. The dining room is open from 13:30 until 15:00 and from 20:00 until 21:00. The well cooked meals from our talented chef will definitely satisfy you completely.

Lefkada is an Ionian island, one out of the seven existing in the complex of Eptanisa (seven islands). Lefkada is connected to the mainland by a 50m, mobile ferry bridge. Lefkada has an area of 3025m2 and 23.000 inhabitants. The capital of Lefkada island is the town of Lefkada. The prefect of Lefkada also administers the islands of Meganissi, Kalamos, Kastos, Scorpios, Madouri, Sparti, Thilia, Kithroand other smaller islands.
At the entrance of Lefkada you come across the Venetian Castle of Santa Maura which inspires stories from another era. The history is everywhere in Lefkada and goes deep throughout the centuries. The people you will meet are hardworking, honest and hospitable. The scenery is breathtaking.

Nikiana village
Nikiana was established by the hill folks of Alexandros village, during the time of the 2nd World War. It is a traditional hamlet at the foot of Skaros mountain with a picturesque port where you can see fishing boats all over the year. Many yachts moor to the port in summer. Nikiana is 8km away from the town ofLefkada and 10km away from the cosmopolitan resort of Nidri. The drive to both these destinations is coastal and offers to the visitor a wonderful view of many beautiful landscapes. The beach near Nikiana village is next to the port and it is an excellent choice for families, since the children can play in the shallows of this calm sea. The coast of Nikiana extends approximately for 7km in parallel with the village.
In Nikiana there is super market, bakery, cafes, bars and fast food whilst by the port one can find many restaurants and fishing taverns. Also in Nikiana you can enjoy the services of the scuba diving center of Lefkada.
Only 3km away from Nikiana, following the enchanting route uphill you can visit the monastery of Agious Pateres.

If you continue your trip a little further, you will enter the “Oak tree forest” and take a walk amongst these sky high trees, which will set your imagination free to a past time of fairies and elves.
The ride to inner Lefkas is on asphalt roadway that ascends tortuously at the slope of mountain Skaros, at first. The view of the whole area of Nikiana, the sea and the scenery unfolding underneath your feet, is beyond words and it is the best compensation for your decision to visit the monastery of Agious Pateres, the Oak Tree forest and the rest of the hamlets with its beautifully made stone houses.
How to get there
Lefkada is very easy to access. No boat is needed, since the island is connected to the land of Aitoloakarnania by a bridge, making arrival and departure real simple. Moreover the crossing of the bridge is free of charge.
You can come to Lefkada by car from Athens, using the national road Athens-Patra. Then, near Patra, you cross the Rio-Antirrio bridge and continue driving in the Sterea Ellada district, heading to Amfilohia. You will use a part of the new Ionian road, bypassing Agrinio in this way. When you reach Amfilohia, you follow the sign to Lefkada and after 60km you will be in Lefkada.
If you are coming to Lefkada from North Greece you need to follow Egnatia Road. When you reach Ioannina head for Preveza and then go under the tunnel bridge Preveza-Aktio. Follow the signs to Lefkada and you will reach your destination after 20km.
You can even come to Lefkada by bus using KTEL from Athens, Thessaloniki, Patra, Preveza, Igoumenitsa and Agrinio.
The nearest air way to Lefkada is 15km away, using the Preveza-Lefkada-Aktio airport. Domestic flights connect this airport to the airport of Athens, Sitia-Crete and other Ionian islands such as Corfu, Kefallonia and Zakynthos. Of course, there are direct connections to many European destinations through charter flights.
